MEAN WELL NTS & NTU: Off-Grid Inverters

The MEAN WELL NTU & NTS series are the latest from MEAN WELL, a robust and highly reliable series of inverters designed to ensure your power needs are met safely and efficiently when using off-grid power supplies. 

The MEAN WELL NTU & NTS series has replaced the former TS inverter series, building upon this base to provide an even more reliable and efficient inverter system.  

Off-Grid Rugged Inverter

The NTS series is designed purely to convert rugged off-grid DC battery power sources to AC output to supply domestic AC power needs. In contrast, the NTU series is designed to integrate into a power system as a UPS system. The NTU series features an inbuilt AC bypass, allowing a quick and smooth transition when mains power supply failures enabling onsite batteries to pick up the load.

The MEAN WELL NTS inverter system can be paired with the MEAN WELL NPB battery charger and can bring mobile energy storage systems full circle, with NPB chargers to provide DC power from AC sources, whilst allowing the NTS inverter systems to provide AC power from the stored off-grid DC power supply. This can be applied to motor homes, yachts, and fieldwork such as portable equipment for working remotely, charging battery-powered tools, powering fridges, and supporting robotic systems.

MEAN WELL NTS & NTU Specifications

The NTS and NTU series are pure sine wave inverters, which can be adjusted via dip switch to suit the intended load needs, either with the standard Australian 50hz or the US standard 60hz.

The NTS series range provides AC wattage output for 300, 450, 750, 1200, 1700, 2700, and 3200 watts, whereas the NTU series range only extends to 1200, 1700, 2700, and 3200-watt outputs.  

Both series provide AC voltage outputs from 112v, 212v, 124v, 148v, 224v and 248vac, 50 or 60Hz.

Both series come standard with input protections, DC low alarms, reverse polarity, DC low shutdown and over-voltage, and feature standard output protections, short circuit, overload and over temperature.

Additionally, both MEAN WELL NTS & NTU inverter systems come standard with RS-232 communication and can be used with the integration of the IRC1, 2 or 3 Power Inverter Remote Control to take further control of your off-grid power needs.

For users that require an inverter for usage outside of Australia, both series come available with AC sockets for the US, EU, CN, UK, UN, GFCI and Australia.
