Description
The MEAN WELL N78 series switching regulators are an alternative to the industry standard LM78xx and LM79xx linear regulators. The pin out is compatible with that of LM78xx and LM79xx ICs. One key advantage of these regulators is that with some models you can select either a positive or negative output voltage (refer to data sheet for details). These regulators offer a high level off efficiency and a wide operating temperature range (refer to derating curve in data sheet).
There are four form factors available:
- PCB mount - vertical
- PCB mount - horizontal
- Encapsulated - PCB mount
- Encapsulated with wire terminations
