KNX Controlled LED Drivers – The XLC-KN Constant Current LED Driver
The MEAN WELL XLC flicker-free LED Drivers have a new addition, the XLC-KN range, designed for smooth integration with KNX-controlled smart buildings.
Equipped with KNX-integrated protocols, the XLC-KN is a constant-current LED driver that enables secure and responsive communication between KNX smart building control and lighting fixtures. The KNX integration enables a unique feature of the XLC-KN range with the Constant Light Output capability, or CLO. The CLO capability is an intelligent feature that promotes the longevity of LEDs by enabling consistent illumination output throughout their lifetime.
The KN variants are constant-current LED Drivers, with three models within the range: 25W, 40W, and 60W. Each model features voltage capabilities from 9V to 54V; however, specific voltage ranges for each model will dictate your specific current output needs.

- 300~1050mA, 9~54V: 300mA (refer to data sheet for details)
- XLC-40-H-KN
- 600~1400mA, 9~54V: 600mA (refer to data sheet for details)

- 900~1700mA, 9~54V:900mA (refer to data sheet for details)
*Please refer to your desired model’s data sheet for the Constant Power Table for the particular voltage range to the current output of that model. Please note that the XLC-KN current output settings can be adjusted via the KNX ETS software database.
Extremely responsive from cold starts, the XLC-KN range features incredibly low inrush current, 10A for both 25W and 40W models, and 15A for inrush current for the 60W model.
Standard protections for the KN variants consist of short-circuit and over-temperature, and the operating temperature range is from -25°C to +85°C. Please refer to your desired model’s datasheet, as the working temperatures may vary across the range*.
For dimming applications, the XLC-KN's dimming capabilities range from 100% down to 0.5% (0% dim off), allowing for perfectly smooth dimming in almost any environment.
