480-Watt Intelligent DIN Rail Power Supply with Battery Back Up (UPS Function)

The MEAN WELL DRS-480 series DIN rail UPS power supplies have a full range universal AC input, making them ideal for OEMs producing equipment for global markets.
In addition to the primary output, there is an additional charging output that will automatically adjust the current depending on the primary output current. Should the AC mains fail, the DRS-240 will switch to powering the load from the back-up battery. When the AC mains is restored, the power supply will revert to powering the load from the mains supply and will recharge the battery.
The power supplies are suitable for charging lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. To allow for remote monitoring, alarm signals are provided for AC Fail, Battery Low, Charger Fail, and DC OK. You can also opt for either a built-in MODBus or CANBus interface for remote status monitoring and control. With the CANBus version you can also set the output charging curve, charging voltage, and charging current via the MEAN WELL SBP-001 battery charger programmer (ordered separately).
The DRS-240 series power supplies have a wide operating temperature range (refer to derating curve in data sheet), making these power supplies suitable for a wide range of applications.
