100-Watt Railway DC to DC Converter
RSD-100
The MEAN WELL RSD-100 series DC to DC converters have been designed to comply with standards EN50155 and EN45545-2, so they are suitable for use on locomotives and passenger trains or trams. They have an ultra-compact 1U low profile enclosure, so they take up very little space. They have a 2:1 wide input range with 3 input options available:
- 16.8~31.2VDC
- 33.6~62.4VDC
- 67.2~143VDC
They are available with a 5V, 12V, or 24V output, which makes them compatible with most voltage sources that you will find available aboard locomotives, trains, or trams.
No minimum load is required, and the RSD-100 DC converters have 4000VDC input/output isolation for safety. The wide operating temperature range (refer to derating curve in data sheet) makes them suitable for use in most environments.
